A woman driving to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park in California was not expecting to get an up-close look at the local wildlife. Taylor Hawkins told KFSN that she was stopped in traffic when a bear wandered into the line of stopped cars and started checking out the trunk of the vehicle in front of her.
She immediately pulled out her phone and began to record as the bear climbed on top of the car. It didn't seem to like hanging out on the trunk and quickly jumped down. The bear then ran to the side of the road and continued to look at the car for a few seconds before walking away.
Hawkins told the news station that nobody was injured during the close encounter, and it does not appear that the car suffered any damage.
