I was shocked when I heard New York's own, Chuck Schumer, review President Trump's address to Congress. The new senate minority leader said, "It doesn't matter what he says." Wow, I guess Trump is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't...destined for failure in the eyes of the Dems, no matter what.
I will give the Democrats credit for not disrupting the speech but beyond that, the sitting-on-hands, hissing, refusal to shake hands, "thumbs down" gestures, boycotts, etc were disappointing. The crew at MSNBC last night seemed a bit deflated afterward, admitting that it was a surprisingly decent speech.
We'll see if last night's Trump is the Trump we'll get moving forward but he did act "presidential" which is good for ALL of us, including his detractors. - Chuck
