19 year-old Marshala Perkins had just finished doing a Facebook Live makeup tutorial when she decided to go out for the night with her friends. She was sitting in her parked car when a police officer pulled up behind her and asked to see her handicap permit.
She was sitting in a handicap spot, but did posses a permit and showed it to the officer. Unfortunately, the story doesn't stop there. He claimed to smell pot so he decided to search her car.
That search turned up 2 grams of weed and Perkins was arrested. She was booked and released the next morning. Her photo immediately took over Twitter.
At first, she was embarrassed so she denied it was her. Then the job offers came in. Since her arrest, she rose to fame on Twitter and Youtube and she has created an Instagram to showcase her tutorials and schedule appointments.
