A Milton, NY man has crafted his very own "Independence Day Lawn." Zac Williams tells WGY that he did the work himself and that the patriotic pattern took about three weeks of planning and preparation.
Williams says, "Besides having very healthy turf, "stripes" as we call them are made by the sunlight reflecting off the grass blades from different directions. So the grass that looks dark is rolled toward the camera, the lighter color is folded away, thus reflecting the sunlight."
Well done, Zac and Happy 4th of July!
