Stupid Criminals: Florida Man Tries Eating Stolen Debit Card

This week, a local stupid criminal makes the list. He hit the same Dunkin 7 times in less than two weeks. Police say they received a report that someone had been stealing from their register sometime in the overnight hours.

The surveillance video showed that it appeared to be the same person. So, Colonie police stayed inside the store after closing one night and sure enough... the guy came back. Officers were able to arrest him inside the building.

Turns out, it was a former employee who was fired last month. He still had his key and the register code. He's been charged with burglary.

In British Columbia, a guy and his wife were grocery shopping. They loaded up two shopping carts with all the meat in the store. They were cutting off other customers and trying to beat them to the meat case. They were openly bragging about how they cleaned out the store and other people in the store started taking a video. So many people saw the video that went viral, that they began getting death threats. They have since apologized and pledged to donate a thousand dollars to a local food bank. So, while what they did was technically not illegal, it should be.

A fugitive in Delaware was caught after 40 years on the run... because he was drunk. He was serving time for armed robbery in South Caroline, when he walked away from a prison work crew. He figured he would go to the smallest state in the country to fly under the radar. He has lived in Delaware, under an assumed name for the last 40 years, until he was recently caught wandering around drunk.

When he was arrested, his ID had one name, but his fingerprints gave away his true identity. He will now head back to South Carolina.

Finally, in Florida, police got a call about a guy trying to buy jewelry and gift cards with a stolen debit card. So when he saw police coming, he tried to hide the evidence by eating the debit card. He wasn't able to swallow it before police reached him. So, they were able to retrieve it along with a bag of cocaine and 13 other stolen debit cards.

He's facing a ton of charges.
