Fisherman James Gabriel posted to social media, what looks like a video of a shark swimming in the Hudson River between Hudson and Athens.

The Hudson police department posted the video and it's been shared over 3,000 times.

There have been previous sightings in the Hudson as well, one in 2014 and another 2015. Bull sharks can survive in fresh water for long periods of time. They are known to frequent rivers and shallow water and sharks typically can be seen swimming in a straight line, like the dorsal fin is seen doing in the video. In 2015, a dogfish shark was caught by a fisherman in the Hudson near Battery Park in New York City.

Shark or not... we're not swimming in the Hudson River anytime soon.
