New York Rangers fans, you are us. On Tuesday night, on Women’s Empowerment Night no less, you let Governor Kathy Hochul know just what you (and us) think of life in New York right now. The boos were loud, they were persistent, and they were unmistakable. Those fans weren’t saying, “Hoo-chul!”, they were saying, “crime is out of control in New York, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT GOVERNOR!” It’s that simple. Poll after poll in New York this year has said that crime is the #1 issue for New Yorkers, but polls can be ignored and polls can be manipulated. What can’t be ignored however is boos; loud, persistent boos. And that look on Kathy Hochul’s face when the boos were raining down… So we know she heard the message, the question is: will she DO SOMETHING about the cause of those boos? If she doesn’t, that look on her face may reappear in November when those Ranger fans go to the polls.
