President Biden is promising ongoing federal support for flood-ravaged eastern Kentucky. After talking with affected residents in one neighborhood, Biden said -- "We never give up, we never stop, we never bow, we never bend; we just go forward."
Biden also talked about federal aid during an earlier stop and said -- "If it's legal, we'll do it." During his remarks, Biden praised first responders for their actions during the deadly flooding, which took more than three dozen lives. But it’s other comments that are raising concern.
At one point, Biden suggested it may become possible to control the weather…and at another, he essentially admitted that the ‘Inflation Reduction Act’ is not about bringing down inflation – and even got the numbers wrong. As he noted that act was “helping take care of everything from health care to God knows what else,” he also misstated the cost as being “like a billion, 200 million-dollar infrastructure project,” when it’s $740-billion.
But, more notably, the President recently tested negative for Covid after relapsing. He wasn't concerned enough to wear a mask, but the Gov. of Kentucky, didn't seem too comfortable. Check out him moving away from a coughing Biden.
