A Little League batter who was beamed in the helmet by a fastball consoles the pitcher who hit him in an amazing display of sportsmanship. Texas East Little League pitcher, 12-year-old Kaiden Shelton was shaken up after his pitch in the first inning of a Little League championship game in Waco, Texas, hit Oklahoma batter Isaiah Jarvis in the helmet, sending him to the ground.

Isaiah recovered and was sent to first base, but seeing that Kaiden was upset, he walked to the pitchers mound and gave his opponent a hug, letting him know he was alright. "I wanted to go over there and spread God's love and make sure that he's OK, and make sure that he knows that I'm OK and that I'll be OK," Isaiah explains.

Video of the moment went viral on social media and has been widely praised as an inspiring display of sportsmanship. Isaiah says he has a little bruising from the hit, but he’s okay. And even though his team lost to Texas East, he’ll be cheering on Kaiden and his team when they play the Little League World Series in Pennsylvania later this month.
