Why me? I got a phone call while on the air the weekend of July 2 & 3. This fellow tells me his name is Jimmy Nectady. I responded that I never heard of that last name, Nectady. He then said, that I might have heard of his great, great, great grandfather whose first name was Sken. Sken Nectady. Ok, something seems a little bit fishy here. But, maybe it's possible. Then he goes on to tell me that his neighbors are the Banies - Phil and Mary. Ok, I said, how very nice. He then said their great, great, great grandfather's name was Al. Now, I am realizing that I've been had. Sken Nectady (Schenectady) and Al Bany (Albany). Well, I hung up on Jimmy pretty quickly. I suppose he still laughing over this. The embarrassed look on my face finally went away on Tuesday. I am asking producer, Zach and other co-workers to please not bring this up to me in conversation ever!
