GOWDY TO COMEY: Your Definition of a ‘LEAK’ is Actually a ‘FELONY’
Rep. Trey Gowdy didn’t hold back when discussing James Comey’s recent book tour this week; saying the former FBI boss’s definition of a “leak” is “what the rest of us call a felony.”
The outgoing congressman was speaking with Fox News when he was asked to comment on the disgraced bureau chief’s town hall event on CNN, where Comey tried to deflect allegations he “leaked” classified material to the media.

“I don’t quarrel with the FBI wanting to run down a lead. I’m probably biased towards law enforcement. Go ahead and run out the lead. The challenge then becomes, when you’re going to spy on an American citizen it has to be more than a lead,” said Gowdy.
“Another thing I learned tonight, is that Jim Comey has a definition of the word ‘leak’ that no one else has. What he says is a ‘leak’ is what the rest of us call a ‘felony.’ Leaking is disclosing a confidential conversation which is exactly what he did,” he added.
