The latest numbers show that online sports wagering is continuing to be massive success in the Empire State.
From the period between the launch of mobile sports betting on January 8th and Super Bowl Sunday, New Yorkers wagered nearly $ 2.5 billion on games. That means the state has collected more than $ 78-million in taxes that can be used for things like education, property tax relief and youth sports. The most popular operator used to place bets was Caesars Sportsbook followed by FanDuel.
